Rocking on a velvet field of indigo, the crescent moon on its blanket of stars bids us a good night, good night - poetry will still be there in the morning, God willing. Rest well, dream far, and I'll see you at the dawning's first light.
I'm reading this in the morning, so I hope you had a wonderful night's sleep. This poem has a lullaby quality to it. Almost makes me want to go back to bed and sleeeeeeep
After our galaxy has implode, explode, be converted to dust...the poems still will be there, with the words and the thoughts, because once a poem, like a genie gets out of the poet's bottle....

Good work Karla. Beautiful description of the crescent moon. No wonder I have been resting so well. I love the full moon but I can't sleep when it's shining. Best wishes...Joyce

What a beautiful way to end the night; and yes, your poetry will still be there in the morning. Very beautifully penned; brava!
