Come. Come with me to the birthplace of lightning and thunder, twins held in check by forces beyond their control. They will not emerge until conditions are exactly right - the first, a bolt of energy pushes its way out, flying 'cross the room; the second, darker one arrives with a voice that threatens the walls surrounding it. And always, always, the rain - the tears of a mother mourning the loss of her children...
Lightening and thunder reminds me od rambunctious children playing tricks on one another.
Come to Tampa, the lightning Capitol of the World. We're in the drought part of the season right now so it's rather quiet.
The rain has a calming effect upon me...thunder and lightning awaken my senses...and then I become one with the electricity in the air. Beautiful images you present, Karla

hmm, an exciting yet calm, collective voice i hear. love the analogy of the mother being rain and crying for her twins. i like this one and will hold onto it.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
