My father and uncles returned physically whole from their service to our country but we must never forget that some sacrifices can't readily be seen. As Billy Ray Cyrus so eloquently put it, "All gave some, some gave all." Thank you, Karla, for reminding us.
This brought tears to my eyes. That someone loves our country enough to fight for it is honorable and I have great appreciation for those who do so...but you made it personal this time...maybe those soldiers really love ME enough to fight for me and my family's freedoms. We treat our Veterans with so little respect in this country. We should be honoring each of them, every day, for without them we would have nothing. Thank you for this, Karla. You put it all in perspective.

War truly is Hell - and we should all be honoring them for the Hell they've been through, for us. And with Veterans Day approaching, a visit to a VA hospital would truly lift their spirits.

Regret?... probably not!!! But the horrific scenes of his friends dying and others dying will stay in his mind for a long time. But like Bonnie had said - those who go to wars to fight for our countries should be commended for their bravery!!!
You Go Girl this is what I have been waiting for. Finally, someone sees as I do. These beautiful men dying and extraordinary injuries are there because of us to protect and serve. They deserve more support than this country is given them. To protest this or any war while our men are in harms way is treason.
