Poem Artwork

Wintertime, and the living was easy
-- nothing to do but lie in the warmth
of your arms, laughing at the bitter cold.
Springtime, and the living was easy
-- nothing to do but lie in the strength
of your arms, sheltered from the storms.
Summertime, and the living was easy
-- nothing to do but lie in the sunshine
of your arms, knowing we had forever.
Autumn.  It slipped in when I wasn't
looking.  You faded out of my life like
the falling leaves ... and I am dead, inside.

mankind and his seasons, are but seasons out of time -- we come in the spring, flourish in the summer and fall -- then leave without a trace in winter's howl -- this is a very beautiful and philosophical peace Karla -- extremely well written and thought out -- much peace and love to you my friend -- JMW

Spot-on description of the seasons of our lives. And, here in our Autumn, we truly must remember the happiness and learned wisdom of prior seasons ... for our Autumn is when we validate our usefulness as elders. Oops :-)

The definition of Autumn slipping in when you weren't looking it the quintessence of the art of writing very little to say very much.
Perfect!

Karla,
A journey through the seasons of relationships, comfort, security, love and loss, and there always seems to be loss, but we try to rise again, and we do, because we have no other choice. Thank you for this beautiful, elegant work.
