Karla, if I waited until I knew what I was going to write to start, nothing would be posted on my site. I learned long ago to trust my muse to rescue me when I have no idea what to do with the blank paper.
Beautiful image -
like Christ getting prepared to
take center stage on this rotting planet.
"no poem ever read went unwritten." NICE!
This is almost Zen-like in its simple truth. And I agree with Jude below!
Blessings sis ...
and conversely Karla, there are few more intriguing, more enticing things, than a blank sheet of paper -- the opportunities for creativity are boundless - great poem and thoughts -- peace and love-- Jon Michael
You are so right Karla, some of the best poems and stories I ever wrote were written with no prior thought or planning...just letting the words flow where they wanted to go.
When confronted with a blank page, I take a pen and make an X from corners to corner, then, it isn't pristine nor unattainable and like any other page...half filled with an intention, so, my Muse are prodded to inspire a poem or whatever is in her cotton picking mind! LOL
Sometimes, when the Muse is asleep, or on vacation, it becomes necessary to stand on our own two feet, and stand alone. And when this happens, we sometimes don't produce the caliber of wondrous creativity that we want.
But, guess what - it's OK - later, when the Muse returns, that which was captured on that blank page can then be massaged - edited - improved maybe? Some call them Re-Writes.
I am staring at this blank canvass, and then read Sandy May's answer, yes you paint well, now I have to get going, this sure helped thanks! Blessings! Jasmin Horst
This exceptional book, Celebrating the Gift of Being Alive, has the perfect thoughts and words for birthdays, graduations, engagements, marriages, and any life celebration or family tradition.

The last never wants to come.
And in between. . . . .
That's yet to be seen.
