Took this picture yesterday afternoon during the rain. And this morning, it's snowing!! =]

i like to think of rain as tears falling
from the Heavens --- it understands
my pane.  not as strong as i appear,
having to hold the outside out and

the inside in where each belongs ---
the humans ask too much.  so when
it rains, it soothes my aching arms
and takes the sun out of my eyes, if

only for a little while.  it leaves a bit
of itself behind for me to read until
the silly humans decide they need
to see and clean me against my will

--- but not today.  too cold and wet.
there's something to be said for the
rain.  or is that snow?  a bit of both
kissing my fragile face with love ....

This is cool. Writing from the standpoint of the pane. Sort of. I enjoyed this. Unusual. What would you think of carrying through the alliteration, and using the word "affection" at the end? Just a thought. As always, it's yours. As you know, -- yes! there's something to be said for the rain. AND the snow. The weather in general. It has so much impact on us. Thanks, Karla. I adore the picture! If you ever have feedback on my pictures/paintings, I'd appreciate it. PS when i woke up, it was sunny AND snowing. The old "devil beating his wife" thing. Now it's just a weak sun. I guess the devil and his wife are both taking a break! julie

Love the poem of the pain of a pane. The video even caused a chill and I'm here in Florida. The closest we get to winter, so far, is 69 degrees high for one day.
Dig in and get some hot chocolate to keep warm.

Its just like you wrote, here today
woke up with rain
pelting at my window pane
unmercifully leaving streaks
of rain tears,
as I try to follow one
a thousand more come
a never ending scene
all day rain has been forecast
so I'll stay indoor read and review a while......
