the way you play with words!
you cuddle them every morning,
take them in your hands and, with a kiss,
love them onto the page, setting them free --
-- your babies. the ones born
in the darkness, the ones nurtured
by your tears, the ones you never thought
would live, live. they look just like their Mother
---- not So.plain. they have a
beauty that comes from the Heavens;
they have wisdom far beyond their tender
years; and yet, there is a sadness in their lines
I thought of the tender edges of a rose, slightly browning and curled. . . I thought of tender petals unfolding, attracting us to its center...I pictured the babes, who resemble their mother, blooming before their time for a reason...every rose has its fragrance...this poem, especially

Another beauty Karla. You've really got the magic touch lately. I keep saying this, I know.
Timing is everything! What a wonder poem for me to read as I return to the Den for a few moments. Your writing has no boundary and that is why I keep coming back.
