What creates a storm chaser is being a witness to such power and its destruction, the wish to find a way to save many from such a fate. All we can do is pray that those affected with find the courage to carry on.

The feeling of powerlessness or helplessness can trigger guilt feelings, Karla - feeling that we should be able to do more or know how exactly to help. Your compassion is your greatest gift and your willingness to stand alongside and appreciate exactly what it is these poor folk are going through. When crisis strikes, the human spirit just somehow seems to find it within itself to get up and carry on as best it can... to the onlooker, this might appear strange but is often a reflex response. Stay safe and deeply caring, bringing the plight of sufferers to the forefront of our comfortable minds. xx
I think we all feel that way--or should. All I know to do is pray that God gives us enough warning to be safe whenever catastropic earth events occur, and if you notice they are happening more often than usual.
