Poem Artwork

Forget planting my feet on land,
where cities weight my feet with
cement.  Give me the freedom

of sky.  I want to soar with clouds,
ride the sun from one horizon to
the other, grab the mane of an

untamed storm, feel the wind
and rain in my face as we gallop
through the Northern Lights ----

please let me go.  I want to break
Earth's confines.  I want to fly, go
where God is and touch His face.

can't wait till I can catch the sunset like this again. well said, wouldn't it be great to just fly around the whole area and watch the sun set all the way

my 2 year old grandson was watching some pigeons and when they flew off he started jumping with his arms swinging skyward-i know he wanted to fly with them--you poem reminded me of his beautiful and innocent exuberance
