silent night...
since last september
i have had way too many of them
my beloved died
and the holidays aren't the same
holy night...
there's a hole all right
my wife died that september day
i was left behind
and all that's left are memories
all is calm...
who are they kidding
right now i'm filled with bitterness
and crushing sadness
don't want to talk to anyone
all is bright...
all except my world
i feel i'll never see the light
darkness surrounds me
it weighs me down like a blanket
'round yon virgin, mother and child...
my wife was the best
she was a terrific mother
to two little boys
who don't have mom to look up to
holy infant, so tender and mild...
my little boys twins
they'll miss their mother's special touch
all they'll have is me
will i be good enough for them
sleep in heavenly peace...
i wish i could sleep
every night, the nightmares come
hear her cries for help
and i cannot do a damn thing
sleep in heavenly peace...
see her in my dreams
there are times i still hear her voice
i can't forget her
she was my rock my strength my love

please say a special prayer for those that lost
loved ones on september 11, 2001, and for all
victims of terrorist attacks and their families.

An incredible poem Karla, filled with lots of emotion. I was very moved by it.......
That was so unique. I loved how you put the lyrics and explained your feelings, because when you hear a song, you think, quickly, about each of those words and you have your own feelings that you feel for each line. That was really clever! I enjoyed this thoroughly and, although it's quite sad, this was wonderful. It can make us all appreciate what we do have, and what we should cherish.
