when i die/new beginnings

what i wish

when i die
please let my death be quick and painless, Lord
if at all possible
i mean, it is possible
You are Lord
and You can do anything

when i die
don't let my life have been worth
nothing
let me have touched someone
brought a smile to a sad heart
been a blessing to someone in need

when i die
please don't let my words die with me
i know i won't be writing anymore
but let my words reach out and embrace
the brokenhearted
bring smiles to those who've forgotten how

when i die
i hope You can forgive me for being human
for letting myself get in Your way
for any sins i've committed, i repent
for i am not perfect
and cannot stand before a perfect God

and...when i die
let me dance with the aurora borealis
right now my disability limits me
and i haven't danced in many years
but You promised me a new body when i die
and i want to celebrate my new beginnings

Karla, you already ARE dancing, with each new write, with every new iodea that you share, and you are on a stage with an appreciative audience who love to come and see you, fascinated by your moving art! Never think any differently than that -- your poems are the nimble feet on which you canter, pirouette, leap and glide!

And, yeah, God will grant your wishes at the end of your days -- just don't rush things: God's not through with you yet here on ol' Planet Earth!

One far off day, you will get a new body,
but continue to write and bring joy
to all those around! You ain't going
anywhere just yet, friend! Not if I can
help it! I love you!

Beautiful sentiments...and moving write. Hang around a while, dear lady, for there are many wonders yet to come. Magic is not dead... May you always dwell within the softest of the Light, Jim.

What a splendid piece of writing Karla! Who says you won't be writing? What do you think heaven is but just 1000 times better than earth. God will have you doing what you do best, and if it isn't writing you can still do it as a hobby, since time will be continuum, there will be plenty of it for everything;-)You will be able to dance with all of natures beauty!

this is an absolutely beautiful write, karla; and you have touched the lives of many people, more than you may realize. in fact, you may be an angel and not even know it! that is how i view you; you are an angel, and i thank you for being so supportive of me and lovin' me through the years! i am truly blessed to have you as my twin sister; and my love for you only grows as the years go by!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, karen lynn. :D love you, karla!~

Beautiful write, Karla. You never have to worry about whether or not you've ever touched a life, though. You have touched my life and my heart, many times over. You've been supportive of me, when I needed it. You've been a shoulder for me to cry upon, even when I have not asked for it and though, I probably do not tell you enough, I am very grateful for all the love and support you have shared with me.
Thanks for the friendship and this beautiful write.
Hugs and Love,
Jill

Wow, Karla. Wonderful thoughts, and here's hoping that one distant distant day you will get to dance with those Northern Lights. That would be something!
