inspiration is my muse
it comes to me

beating strongly within me
pulsing through my vessels

leaking out of tiny cuts
i blot it on a blank page

you see, i bleed poetry
as naturally as breathing

as gently as a lover's kiss
or a mild summer breeze

i rejoice in the feeling
and celebrate in song
