Fields of Grief
Into the shadow dregs once more I go
Despairing heart and tortured soul
I’ve put down the morter and now
I will place that final brick to fill the hole
You know the one
The hole where my heart once was
Cupid’s arrows I shall break
One by one as they strike this wall
Unyielding, impenatrable my shell is now
These defenses shall never break
To my grave I will go, in time, alone
Do not grieve for this soul
For I do not deserve your sorrow
Wicked wretch that I am deserves nothing
But the pain I already feel deep inside
All this withered, yellow grass upon my fields
Once green and renewd from the abundant rains
Now all dried up from drought
Gray, are the skies above with no rain to show
Only the low rumble of thunder, anger inticed
The only rain that falls, are the tears from my eyes
