A Wrath Never Seen

Thine words, so sweet and caring,

Doth ring true to these ears of mine?

This heart has been so blind, and now,

I fear, has come to know the thorns of

Love once more..

‘I tried to kiss a flower

Was tricked by a rose

I couldn’t see through the leaves’

This comes to mind, and the song

Plays again in this life.  The melody

Never changes, the beat stays the same

And I crawl once more into the shadows.

Begone with thee!  Let me nurse these

Wounds inflicted by thine empty words.

Why must this shell, this impenetrable

Wall I’ve built fall asunder?  A Trojan

Horse thy are!  Left at my gates in mock

Friendship, until the very perfect moment

In which thy can pounce unsuspectingly.

I turn my back on thee, claiming back

What I gave away.  Soul mate thy claim!

How many others have thy swayed this way?

Spouting poetic romance, wave after wave!

And to think, I trusted thee with my heart,

For what more than utter stupidity?

How could thee!  Yet, thy are not mine

To claim as mine own.

A dolt I am to be, utterly, for all eternity.

Misplaced trust and misplaced love,

Fate doth play such a cruel hand!

I’ll take Cupid’s bow, shoot down

The very stars that hang in the sky.

Make the night cry shimmering tears

Of utter rage and despair!

My wrath, the very core of the Universe

Shall feel my scorn, as I set afire

The towers, all four, let them burn

Burn, BURN!

The sun shall feel my stare,

Cold and deadly, when my

Presence is near.  The Moon,

She’ll break in two, as I shout

To the Gods.  My fury shall be

Felt by all who dare cross my path!

The Heavens above shall crumble

As I ride through upon a

Steed of Brimstone.  It’s breath

Shall set ablaze all in my path,

Trampling asunder the sweetest

Of roses.  Pillars will fall and crush

Wailing souls, pinning them in

Eternal Hell.

I know now, why thee hath not

Shown words to these eyes.  See

Not tears that fall, but a stone

Cold stare, as thy becomes a

Looking glass of torment and pain.

I shall crush thee in one fell swoop,

Beneath fist, beneath foot.  Thy bones

Shall crunch like dead leaves.  Thy blood,

I shall feast upon, red rivers flowing

Deep within thy flesh, rivulets of thy

Soul shall nourish me until Death

Claims thy flesh with its icy grip.

I hate thee with every ounce of my soul!

Lying, conniving, greedy,

Pay the price, thy shall, in time.

No more energies shall I expend on thee,

For what is the point when something

Shall never be?

The universe ends utterly at our whims. Of course this occurs safely within an alternate reality. It is a comfort to know that my deepest, darkest, most violent fantasies are played out in real time somewhere.
