scene in which lakes can freeze and
people can skate to their hearts content ...

Such a lovely Rockwell scene this can be.

Christmas card perfection ... or so it
should be, until that one fateful moment
when someone wanders out onto such
thin ice and falls in.

Love is much like this ... a grand painting
until the fires set the oils ablaze. So much
for the Norman Rockwell setting.
