It’s a lasting sensation,
the one where the knife
penetrated this heart.

The attack was almost haphazard.

I wrenched free the blade
and inspected the steel …
… disappointed with the quality.

better crafted dagger to
pierce this heart. But, I
guess I didn’t mean all
that much in the end.
