Bumping

No matter where I go
No matter what I do
I keep bumping into you.
Walking the halls deep in the night,
I brush against you, but you’re not there
The touch of your hand the smell of your hair, I reach out to trace your loving face…
What an unfulfilled feeling grasping at an empty space.
Still, I keep bumping into you…
Last night in restless sleep
I turned my head and felt the warmth
Of your sweet breath, I saw the joy in your smile,I heard you whisper as you said…
We’ve just got to stop bumping into each other like this. Then taking flight in a slight wisp of air…you were gone from there.
Yet, I keep bumping into you.
Going up town just trying to get away
The memory of you lingers;
On the street almost every day
In our favorite spot at that little café,
I keep bumping into you.
On the street car or late at night
While watching a shooting star…there you are.
No matter where I go
No matter what I do
All my thoughts bring me back to this one thing…and
I keep bumping into you

It does have a bouncy, bluesy lilt to it. Also a great little story line.
