The fear burned It scarred and charred Pain so physical Life so marred To live on without you I can not conceive You've always be my rock Our lives an intricate weave I'm so independent I've stood on my own All the time knowing I was never alone I can not imagine Never did I dream You may die first This is life�s extreme Time stands still But the fire rages on Out of control A moment, an eon And then the dawn The healing and hope Life continues We begin to cope Naivet� gone Perceptions changed A single battle fought Our dreams estranged The war is not over You stand on your own With battles yet to come You don't stand alone
