A Wrong Turn?

When you come to a fork in the road
It’s really not that profound
If you don’t end up where you want to be
You can simply turn around

Despite maps and instructions
I rarely find myself where I planned
Don’t try to tell me where I went wrong
Truly, I won’t understand

I’ve been lost so many times in my life
It’s no longer a cause for concern
I’ve realized how to embrace the trip
And the lessons I must learn

It’s not so much that I’m wandering lost
My life is a journey of discovery
It doesn’t matter if I’m on the wrong road
I’m headed in the direction I need to be

A cup of coffee and new route
Will get me on my way
I will simply forge ahead
Until I find reason to stay
