Empty inside, Broken within. Pieces long ago forgotten
Dreams misplaced for ages, Love longing to be had
Hopes upturned and unable to be righted
Faces blended within a crowd
A thought wanting to be remembered
Tears staining the cheek of the forsaken
Torn up letters from a past
Haunted by memories that never last
Angry cries that fall on deaf ears
Looks of remorse only shown to the blind
Tenderness for those who cannot feel
Hope given to those who do not wish it
Love given to those who know not of it
Pity is all that is seen
Anger wells inside a breast of fear
Words flow from the lips of a child
Eyes glistening with the tears mistaken
Thoughts grieve for they know not reality
Roses have thorns i have barbed wire
Cages that i choose to live within
Freedom is not accepted easily
A prisoner of m own choosing yet i dream of escaping
Feelings flood my path, so that i may not leave
Thoughts of what can and will be hold me back
Sorrow filled nights crying myself to sleep
Empty dreams of what i feel cannot be

For such a young poetess you have a strong grasp on feelings and expressing those feelings with honesty and a mingling of regret but always a hint of hope for love to come in the future. Very well done Jenn.
