Hallowed hearts echo with madness
Minds overflow with unending passions
This hole in my life is bottomless
Winds sleepily whisper unkind words
Forgotten souls reach out to broken arms
Hidden within my own dreams
Drowning in my very own doubts
Keeping myself caged holding the keys
Burning in the flame of my own desires
Bleeding from emotional wounds I've cut
Hands held out waiting to be held
Kisses we've blown lost in the wind
Pictures flash in the mind of the hopeful
Memories fade from film too often viewed
Strength leaving the voice crying out
Emptiness filling that painful void
Rapture climaxing to gentle remoteness
Exasperated tears climbing down ones cheek
An avalanche of fears quietly fading
Bridged hopes burned in loving spite
