The morning that I brought you home,
You were all legs and ears.
I gave you food and gave you love,
And calmed away your fears.
Funny cat I taught you tricks,
The Grandkids to amuse.
Oh how you always dissapeared,
When the vacuum I did use.
Now you are at home free,
Midst a nasty ole divorce,
I may just come there some dark night,
And take you off with me.
But if I do I'll sure be glad,
That you are not a horse.
What a little sweetheart, and Many Kudos to you for taking her in and giving her a home, Walt.
PS I now have quite a bit of experience in 'night rescue,' if you need a hand.
PPS Your comment about the horse really has me chuckling. Pepper's spirit came back to me in the form of a cat I named, Buddy, and now, my spouse fears her next return will be as a gigantic horse. I'm building a corral for her, right now!
Puffy strays and something happens to make him decide he will never run away again. Judged "Outstanding" at the 2013 Writers Digest SPB Awards. Named among the best in family-friendly media, products and services 2019 by the Mom’s Choice Awards®.
