A man who has uplifted and supported others,
A man of words and deeds.
A soldier, a sailor, a patriot,
He touched us all in some way.
Earning the friendship, love, respect and admiration of us all,
And more than a few accolades along the way.
His writing ranged from exceedingly beautiful prose,
Chilling and beautiful stories,
To the loftiest formal and the silliest of poetry.
His friendship and encouragment were unending for his Fellows at the den.
Though his fate is still unknown,
I'm sure he's smiling with a cold Coors somewhere.
Know you are still in our thoughts and prayers,
Reminding us of our own mortality.
I for one will never forget you,
And aspire to be the kind of man you are.
We miss you Brother Edvard,

I'm glad you posted this. I'd heard you was not well but didn't know he passed on... He was a most gracious poet and AD member who was kind to me when many here ignored me. And he had a wonderful sense of humor and attitude. He was not afraid to stand out of the crowd. A great writer And wasn't he Native American or something as well as a war vet?

Walt, your tribute to Georg expresses the feelings and emotions of your fellow den friends. Georg is a unique individual. A patriot and as you so ably note, a friend to all. It is the uncertainty regarding him that grips me with sadness. He has inspired everyone of his readers in the den. I wish him peace and love wherever he is. Yes Walt, he has been on our minds every day too and each day we continue to pray for him. There is such a silent void here on the den and all we can do is pray for him...
I definately agree with you on this one as I am sure all den members who knew Georg would as well. We may not know where he is or how he is doing but we all agree that he is missed...
