Bygone centuries saw the enslavement
she suffered at the hands of men.
In the name of religion she was tortured,
enslaved and even burnt to death.
She is paraded naked and sold on the street,
to gratify the lust of men.
A few try to destroy her even in embryonic stage.
Day in and day out she is more harassed than loved,
by the men whom she gave birth.
But still she continues to serve him with love and care.
It is she who teaches him what loving and caring is.
It is she who rare him and makes him great.
She is there behind each of his achievements.
We see her in Kiran Bedi * who is roaring against injustice.
We see her in Hellen Keller who defeated her blindness.
We see her in Florance Nightingale who nursed the humanity.
We also see her in Mother Teresa , the goddess of kindness.
