Standing upright, striking such a pathetic pose I read the sadness in your eyes Nose twitching, tasting Freedom
Longing for those days of wide open spaces, wild chases running, splashing rolling into a world you once knew before this confinement into an existence of being punished for the penalty of being it’s all there in your stare from across this
Invisible threshold of pain on this heavy day the scent does carry
From afar, the bugler sounds your ears do not deceive and yet you resist the urge your drive and liveliness seeps out bleeding slowly to ground let me carry you away break through this barrier of pain Crash out of this prison Before the memory of wild chases escapes you forever more
Each of us needs to break out of our self-imposed prison, chase the dreams, remember the memories, dwell on the beautiful and stay forever young. Good reminder that we all need someone to help us on life's journey.
