Another day...

Morning broke now in the window

Took the darkness within tow

And suddenly the brain does sow

Different thoughts to mow

You start again, re-stretch the bow

Was trapping you with fear

A different light his bones of white

His grin and cheer

Now seem to disappear

But not for long, when you hear

Feeling better now my dear

Dick warned you of the poison brewing in the urn

The coffee would the stomach burn

It won’t be long, will be your turn

We mean you well, why don’t you learn

Till next time we’d sojourn

Fewer now by numbers are

Fewer now by far

On our meetings left a scar

Gallows humour at the bar

Together huddled like in a jar

No wonder night less sleeps I have

Burn the candle both ends half

Find no solitude or salve

In humour find no laugh

Pray constantly, you are my staff!

His mordant features he portray

Through moonlights fray

Upon my bed he lay

Silent watch the night away

Hoping for another day!

This when the bones now old and stiff

Running often to the biff

Dreams of fallen of a cliff

Counting every sniff

Thinking is it worth to live©

You give the reader much to reflect upon with these verses, Jasmin. Parts of it remind me of some darker sections of Shakespeare's "Macbeth." Thank you, Jasmin. Be well. Love and blessings,

Regis

Jas~
This is much to ponder, your mind is everywhere.
I felt an allure from morning (the beginning of a our day) to where our thoughts can go next.
Almost a warning story!

Quite an introspective write Jasmin! Still waters run deep and this has a great deal of depth. And yes it is worth it to live. I enjoyed this greatly because it gave me insight both into you and into me.
