It depends on a lot of things, your strenghts, your life raft, how well you steer, and which side of the river or current your at, but in the long run it does'nt matter, does it?
Life! Love instead of hate That raging river bade But sticks and stones No care, my bones it ate! At best a plate of wood Balancing a body stood Its madness gorge new routes to forge Hanging on I would I tipped it here and there Much water did I share It had no heart or soul It didn�t really care On some calmer day At the ebb would stay To garner strengths and hope Soon again my nerves would fray It didn�t last too long The river was too strong It tore along its shore And pulled me in its throng So many times I tumbled In shallows or in deep I fumbled Others floats more weak In that river crumbled It did not care you see The victim next might be No helping hand it gave Like some that watched with glee Eventually all reached that lake Eventually it all would take Those that fell before Or those that fell in late! 16/09/2007

Life is very symbolic of a flowing river. Guess we need to learn how to swim through the rapids of our pains and trials and just float when the current ebbs. Great sense of relationship to life.
