Seven veils of truth!

from what ankle do you, or did you see truth?

Seven veils of truth!

 Heaven hides in full view

Like belly dancers under veils will do

It changes from points a new

As undulations and gyrations do

Never quite visible as a whole

You can see the body, but not the soul

Trying to understand heaven with the mind

Like touching darkness of the blind

If all your senses mind and soul

Have them all in full control

A sliver of pink or green

What you think you’ve seen

And soon the silken veil

Flowing under others trail

The molten lava spewing flesh’s abandon

Leave logic senses wanton

The magic, bits the eye to glance

Reveal more truth by chance

The lights now dim, the music strong

Hand by hand, strong clap along

Raucous flute and lute

With beating drum do feud

A boiling caldron hot

Senses yes, but logic not

With cries of more, truth leaves the night

Ere the new dawns light her flight

Desires wishes leaves behind

Except to those that blind

And yet at morning tea

Not one of them her all did see!

The complexity of humans, the heavens and God is simply not ours to see. We get glimpses [now and then], but never truly see the whole. An incredible poem from an incredible man.

God bless you. Kathy

The best part of heaven is what we can't see or even imagine, yet with every bit of passion we live by, we get a glimpse and can only be in awe of the possibilities. I love this poem!;-)
