A very sensitive grandchild, with his own ideas about life!

Little feelings!

Odjic my other little guy

Is sensitive and shy

And often does he cry!

His feelings are easily hurt

Carries home a dying bird

Himself just a little squirt

Clings to mommies apron strings

For her his heart does sing

Much joy to her he brings

When he’s happy in his ways

In a mess of toys he plays

Or helps mom with dish and trays

A little shrub in his own yard

Some branches had to part

But never got a start

He begged and pleaded

The debate got heated

In the end he had succeeded

His precious little tree

Not to be cut by me

So I left it be

Somehow it reminded me

How as a young the same did see

You bet it startled me

And then when I departed

I thought what have I started

I taught him well, and feel outsmarted!

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
