The white out!

Three wishes fulfilled in one blow!

Something is happening

I can feel it in the air

The shutters are rapping

A song of despair

They just barely hanging on

To their hinges and hooks

The wind is blowing more like a storm

Tis worse than it looks

The twisting and curling around and around

The snowflakes are dancing a pretty fast waltz

Not an empty space can be found

Now mixing with pretty white balls

I swear something is brewing

Someone stirring the pot

I can feel some witches on formulas chewing

To cool down Texas, that’s hot

Oh I got it, it’s Karla and Karen

From the state of the star

The weather they’re daring

To bring some snow from afar

They’re cooking up a storm

Looks like a tornado they’re spinning

I hope they’re dressing warm

If my prayers are winning

Oh my, I see it moving south

In one big swoosh and our snow is gone

I stand with shovel and open mouth

On a luscious green lawn!

LOL Jasmin,

So THAT'S the explanation behind a white out! If only we had that power! LOL You give us more credit than we deserve...thank you. :) Well done.

But it is really hard to play golf in the snow.

I think we should all send these two Texas Twinks some snow for Christmas!

I remember those white outs from Ohio; oh, yes. How I miss them! They are miserable, especially when the wind is howling, raging outside, but I'd take it over seventy degree weather in a heartbeat! Somehow December with seventy-degree tempearatures just doesn't add up...Very well penned, Jasmin! Enjoyed this one!

Try to stay warm and try to shovel WITH the storm, not against! Hard work, I know, but it's better than letting the snow pile up and then it's next to impossible to try to get rid of it! Daddy was always telling us that, and we shoveled our driveway during Ohio's worst blizzard! NOT easy, but we did make 100 bucks! :)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Man Jasmin, you are one tough old bird and no snow is tougher than you. Put on your sun glasses, strip off that shirt, put on your tanning oil and go catch rays on that green lawn of yours...in the snow. : -)

Oh this is just precious dear friend! Yes, I have been in a few of those white outs, blizzards and no sir, did not enjoy it. Took in strangers stranded from all over the place and even remember a time or two when the trains stopped running, all that is but the deisel. The deisel trains will trudge through anything, anytime, anywhere. So now we live in Texas where it gets way too hot! Go figure....

Be safe,
Karen
