Youoouuuuuuuuuuu!

Dear Mr. Ed, the wolf cubs just arrived!

Well you talk about mayhem,

Guess you’re not surprised

Cute as a button both of them

Well they came late

Late in the evening too

No not in a crate

But with postage due

The postman was friendly

And old buddy of mine

He held them so gently

Said you owe me a dime

You should have heard it

All over the house

The crying, my dog took a fit

His instincts in him did arouse

He circled and sniffed and whimpered

With cooing and licking woe

Not lie down, or go to bed

Unless the wolf cubs laid down too

I’ve should have known, he likes babies

Anything newborn no matter what

Just goes nuts, you’d think he’d have rabies

Just behaves like a nut

And all this about bedtime

The commotion it had no end

No matter I told him they were fine

For possession on a bend

You talk about canine behaviour

The belonging instinct is true

That loving instinct I did savour

Our specious should more imbue

Their well licked now, and he’s a bit more calm

What a heart warming show it had been

Brought out the best in canine charm

The best of caring instinct that I’ve seen

I might have to buy another

He might put up some fuzz

To take it away won’t bother

He’d mightily miss the loss

They’re cute as a button I tell ya

The other for myself I might keep too

The grandkids just might go ga ga

I really don’t know what to do

Yet the old lady upstairs she does threaten

If the grandkids don’t get them just then

Not staying with her should be betting

Go to the yard and build me a den

Can you hear the howling from here?

Sure hope you can big brother

It’s from her I’m hiding in fear

Protecting them like a den mother

I know you’re laughing into your beer

You’re rolling on the floor

Don’t deny, I can hear it from here

You knew I’d have to order two more

Some salesman you are, I have to admit

Mother wolf must be proud of you

Sold me the store and everything in it

You are a real wolf man true

For the end of this tale

Three howls for you

While I sit here and wail

And for peace I do sue!

Wow! What a great poem to tell us about the wolf cubs! I'm jealous! I wish I had a place to keep them I'd want them too;-) Tell us how they get on. I'll be looking forward to hearing more about them. Also what you name them.

Love,
Eileen

This is so marvelously spiritual and such an uplifting experience. How the frolic and fancy must really have you going with such beautiful creatures to love, teach and maybe even learn. God Bless you my friend.....

Be safe,
Karen
