This is really the shits!

Pissed off!

This really is the pits

Feel more like lying in front of the fireplace

This is the shits

But she’s got the leash I rest my case

She knows I can’t talk

With words not too fleet

I’d refuse doing the walk

On this soaking wet street

You wouldn’t send a dog out in this weather

I curled my eyes to heaven on high

When she noticed she said whatever

Not caring my sigh

Soaking boots trudging through this mess

Just to go for a pee

No toilet training I confess

Just the odd tree

With a little effort I would think

Both of us would have been better off

Shown me how to use toilet and sink

And all the other stuff

Trudging through misery instead

Another lousy day

From head to toe soaking wet

Oh I wish it were May

She’s alright though, carries a paraplui

Raincoat and gear

All I hear, is come on Louis,

Come on, come on dear!

My good friend, Jasmin, I am back on AD, at least for a while, God granting. Since I am newly arrived, I will be reviewing you backward. What timing to find you so beautifully grumpy with your dog to write this humorous, well-put piece. You are so prettily poetic when you are poignantly pissed....Jerry

Reminds me of my wee dog Kizzy. She's only toilet trained when someone is watching her.
Nice wee poem. Gerry

Reminds me of my Boomer during last weeks snow...zipped out and zipped in...she loves the rainy weather, but not the cold weather...I don't like it when she goes out in the rainy weather...wet paw prints on my hardwood....enjoyed this my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Poor Louis; he reminds me of my little Blanca. She hates wet weather. My other three, however, love it - the wetter, the better.

Powerfully poignant write, Jasmin; very well penned! Makes me glad that I'm a human! If I weren't human, I'd rather be a cat. Very well penned; bravo!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

My first thought when I saw the picture was that this animal belonged to a homeless person - the dog looks so sad. Then, it occurred to me - the person was equally distressed in the miserable weather. Fortunately, we have cats and an inside liter box. No problem there.

God bless you. Kathy

Jasmin, I loved the way you did this. I agree, it is sad animals can't speak for themselves, I'm sure we all would get anear full. Loved it.

Sad, indeed...man's inhumanity against the supposedly "dumber" animals. At least four leggeds know to get out of the rain and wouldn't dare abuse another of their kind or any considered "lower" than them. Painfully expressed poignancy, Jasmin.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
