Talk about bird brains, new evolving corporate giants me thinks!

Enterprising Creatures!

Exhausted, standing still,

Only started, up that hill,

In the distance, the river I see,

Banked by ice, but running free,

Millions of twigs, hidden under heavy snow,

All there is, trees and branches, hanging low,

The ground, one thick and heavy white blanket, deep,

Nothing stirring, so it seems, all is quiet and asleep

Looking up that hill, to the quiet sky and earth,

Enchantment filled my heart, and mirth,

And then, top my covered head, tiny feet,

Some flapping wings, and, a, tweet, tweet, tweet

You little rascal, my thoughts a smile,

Couldn’t wait another while,

Held out my hand with food,

My God, is it ever cute

And there, in the midst of my palm, it sat so sweet,

Warming its little bum and feet,

Curious it looked at me,

This sweetest little chickadee

All comes alive now and a flutter,

Attack I heard the captain mutter,

A flurry of darting back and forth,

Food in my hand their excitements source

I hear this noise from up the hill,

F- Fifteens, me thinks, coming for a kill,

Toward me, they dive, landing at my feet,

Affront of me, quiet and discreet

Scouts from three miles out,

Now I’m laughing, right out loud,

This can’t be, this is so hilarious,

Ducks a bit nefarious

Politely I did say, you think this fair,

Attack me from the air,

Then beg for food auspiciously,

Where could all your brethrens be?

To feed you first you dare,

But I’m here to share,

Give all some, neither more, nor less,

Trying to cheat, you should confess

Their daring though, it spoke to me

Their daring little spree,

Relented then, and spread some seed,

And filled their tummies greed.

Me thinks they all have you where they want you, providing them with a precious source of food...You surely have a good heart.....

Be always safe,

This is so true. Ducks have always been ravenous little food mongers, but their beauty makes up for their bad manners. ~ Sara

I think we shall name you - Bird Man - and it's a wonderful thing that you do!
