The just cause?
Fighting for a good cause,
But who to applause,
Does it not beg the question?
Grieving those that are fallen,
But is the grieving left to all them?
Who are they’re loved ones,
Right or wrong,
Is it your tune and song?
Who makes that judgment?
Cause and response it was,
Or is it response and cause?
Which comes first the chicken or egg,
I know of a philosopher who taught a better way!
Is he your God?
Can you tell me who he, she, is?
Do you abide by these philosophies?
Or do you do your own thing?
Make your own laws?
Whose laws do you follow?
Why if I may ask?
Respect? Fear? Disrespect? Don’t care?
When is the last time you pinned a medal of bravery on him?
Or honoured his cause?
Or fought for it?
Have you been decorated for that?
By whom?
Will it be honoured, where you’re going next?
What heaven is your Walhalla?
Are you a hero there?
Who there is your judge?
There will be no prize for answering these questions,
Do it out of curiosity,
Or just out of pure conscience.
Been there once, long ago, their families didn't bother to come visiting anymore.
A long empty corridor, them and God's arrival being delayed.

Life is a struggle...universal conscience isn't always the driving force, nor can it be.
