Little things!
Like a tick behind the ear,
Or in the rear,
A pain in the ass,
If one a conscience has,
What to do, I sure don’t know,
But, my heartstrings on me tow,
It lets me know, I have to think,
It’s driving me to drink,
Diplomacy the finer points,
Only if I smoke some joints,
Then overdo the trick,
With some awful stupid shtick,
There this lady, down the street,
Gave her pooch a hug and treat,
And got a present in return,
That raised my deep concern,
A lot of scratching it did do,
Fleas it had like in a zoo,
So many they were hard to count,
On its little body found,
How can I help and be polite,
This little creature’s plight,
Not to harm my chance,
Its happiness enhance,
A million things go through my mind,
This someone, to its suffering blind,
How will I, can’t just say,
I’d like another turn to play,
A free ticket for a bon, a groom,
In an upscale flee saloon,
To forward it might be,
She might think, of me the flea,
I’m chewing on my nails,
Bad dreams now have in bales,
Something, I have to do,
To be, my nature true ,
So if you, my friends out there,
Some pointers like to share,
Please feel free,
Like me, another busybody be,
Can’t save them all, but this ones mine,
Do nothing, would my heart decline,
Just want to help, as best I can, and should,
Help me get some rest, you would,
Who has that gift, of social gab?
Help me try, giving it a stab,
I’m sure a critter, like it, and me,
In the end, much happier be.
