Just meat!
In the abstract that is fine,
While you, and yours do dine,
Do you hear the hurtful sounds?
When their fear and pain it mounts,
Hear their screams, their pleas for help,
Their crying and their yelp,
Absent minded turn that stake,
Not of pain or death debate,
Busy talking to your friends,
No one here to make amends,
How that piece of flesh was won,
No feelings it adorn,
This abstract world it has no rhyme,
Not one that painful steak decline,
It goes too well, with sauce and wine,
For sins from heaven, not a sign,
The priest stands too in the line,
All must be right and fine,
No one knew its name,
Or from whence it came,
How many youngens it did have,
If she cried on their behalf,
If they loved and cared,
And joyfully that love had shared,
Na, it’s just a piece of meat,
Not of our species seed,
That is what they’re for,
That’s why they suffer gore,
It’s us, God wants to sustain,
Who cares about their pain?
It says so in the book,
That puts us off the hook,
There are other folk, who live quite well,
Eat nothing that would yell,
Or a bring a cruel end,
To those that can’t themselves defend,
God help, should they succeed,
Ever learn to write or read,
But you know it very well,
Not on you can tell,
Yet up there my friend, they’ll tell,
That’s, when we’ll get our pass to hell.
Just meat? tell it to the one that was forced to give up a pound of his flesh.
Georg
That’s, when we’ll get our pass to hell.
Truly much Food For Thought, my friend,
I think a Pass to Hell, will be many's End.
