Righteousness, love, and wisdom,
Three fountain heads that spring,
From your deepest soul within,

Deep, deep, deep, their riches flow,
To still the travellers thirst,
To find its spring he has to know,

Through hardship, ice, and wind,
Lost loves, and treacherous friends,
A heart torn from its breaches flint,

Torn forgotten and betrayed, a beggar still,
No choice, but travel to the end,
Sometimes partake in human swill,

The path of rain and open sky,
Of love divine, of friendship true ,
Without the reasons why,

That many beaten path, many foot prints has,
Of broken empty souls that search,
In toil and sweat, and tears, alas,

Empty come away at times, the effort all in vain,
Forgot their searching on the way,
Brought back with them just pain,

The thirst led you to waters spoiled,
All human misery and sin,
You drank from waters that were soiled,

Many times we trod that path,
With broken bones and spirit,
To walk through mirrored glass,

Sophia’s grail you held to fill,
Of wisdoms elixir,
The spring where spirits wisdom mill,

Not sanctuary found, but truth,
And filled her cup to overflow,
Your ailing wounds to sooth,

That fountain deep in whispered song,
Admonished you to share,
All spirits thirsting throng,

The oracle warned of it but sadly,
Now, that you journeyed long to know,
May spirit friends receive you gladly?

No sooner though, but old and wise,
Heavy hands of time on him,
The truth he’d known, were all but lies,

To warn his children and their kin,
His wisdom shared with them,
Not live in ignorance and sin,

Some would listen, some would not,
A painful trek, their own would make,
To find their truth and God,

In their search of hearts and minds,
Soon understand the others struggle,
Then there, the waters of compassion find,

A stone with verse and rhyme,
That loving hands had carved,
In love shared every line,

Tears now filled that wisdoms cup,
That freely love had shared,
With love and thankfulness held up.

Bautiful photo of footprints. Never ending and life goes on and on with us managing to handle the problems and all. As I read ths free flowing write, and it is absolutely true and beautiful too I think of how I burned the potatoes last nite and broke the end off the glass kitcen table by putting the hot pot on it, and thinki Oh well, don't let small things bother you, keep on treking and stay sane. Your poem is relative to my thinking each day too. Good absolutely stunning piece of work.
