My dear brother phoned me from the Lotus Land of British Columbia, to wish me a happy birthday, and inspired me to write a poem in honour of the most precious birthday gift ever received, no it was not life, which is everlasting, but love, from an Angel pure white in heart and soul, a direct descendant of God! The words of Jesus come to mind, " If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be MY disciple. as you can see, I look at valentines a bit different, for these and many other reasons, Bless you all!Jasmin Horst

*Jasmin, a direct descendant of God,* *Circumspect such love, despite the scriptures word,* *For if God is love, she shared it unconditionally,* *From him that taught the meaning,* *From him that knew the Lord,* *If love is God and God is love,* *Where should my longings lie?* *Will I dilute the essence of that heavenly gift?* *Not cherish it a wholesome blessing,* *That came out of the sky,* *In my heart I know the truth,* *From whence it shines upon the world,* *No matter what the world will say,* *Innocent her soul in me,* *She her love unfurled,* *Her pearls she hung around my neck,* *Of precious love and wisdoms tale,* *Not search but know it all along,* *Her love that straight from heaven,* *All other loves prevail.* © Jasmin Horst E.P.
