Meaningless treasures diamonds and such,
My name in lights,
Necklaces of gold and rubies,
Temples, or palaces with marble floors,
A memory of me, in picture or song,
Warrior’s honours or heroes praise,
A lover swooning in my arms,
But love I treasure,
That memory I keep,
Beauty of living things,
A little bird that beep,
Little things with wings,
Butterflies and bumblebees,
And my garden full of trees,
The little friends, the mouse and mole,
Rabbits, chipmunks, fill my soul,
The rose’s fragrance deep and sweet,
Apples pears and plums as treat,
A friend that made me look more deep,
To see reflections most discreet,
The joyful smile of little girls,
The songs at taverns, and church bells,
Mothers loving touch and kiss,
Grandmas baking cookies wiz,
Little things that melt the heart,
Whispers, we will never part,
But most of all a little girl,
In ribbon and white curl,
The sweetest face, and love so true ,
Of those I knew so few,
But this treasure five pounds tall,
I my biggest precious treasure call,
And this I say again,
Jasmin is her name.©
