In this purse dear friend,
Let’s see, there is, oh yes,
A penny I will lend,
For I tell you, every penny earned,
A trickle of my life I spend,
Hold it precious in your hand,
For the travel back in time is scant,
Take care and think of me,
Think, what I give so free,
Think, part of my life I give,
With it, life, and part of me you live,
Go buy your lollipop dear child,
Or the doll, that you so beguiled,
Remember though, please pass it on,
As I have my life onto you, and when I am gone,
Give in admonition of this, your gold,
When such treasures, in your purse you hold.©08/01/2010
as I was just speaking with my daughter about
many things that were given to me & in those times
I am so privledged to remember them all...
I recall my grandmother complaining about gasoline
when it was going over 90 cents...
