Suffering alone, suffering silent,
In despair and pain,
In abandonment, lost in a desert of voices,
Caring, but distant, estrangement the curtain,
All alone bereft of healing choices,
You are hurting, hurting, hurting,
Lonesome every task, every step is, hurting,
Futile in your thoughts, strange, furtive,
No sense of future joy, ever again,
The communion cup lies buried deep,
Such is the moments, every moment’s pain,
All day, and night you weep,
Strange familiar arms enfold you,
Caring, sharing, but you’re alone,
Sealed in your tomb of pain and silence,
You’re alone in this fastness realm,
No soothing words make sense,
No guiding star you see, no captain at the helm,
A light, a voice, an inner knowing,
Who is calling, intensely do you listen,
Is that you, oh my God, it’s you,
In brightness shines your day,
And now with angels fly, you do,
Love and wisdom had their say,
Life a staircase to this light,
Some stairs are stark and sombre,
Some are, in riches joy rewarding vast,
Every step you take, wisdoms cup enlightens,
Drink it deeply, toast to life, up to the last,
An extra cup, a toast, your day it brightens,©09/01/2010
in an embracement
an offering of soul
listening...
in quietude
Love's gentle gifts are penned
through & through in your words
even in sorrows darkness

Amen, my friend.
Many will understand this and identify with it, there is, as you say in the introduction, so many suffering in silence. This is disturbing truth, but truth it is.
Thank you.
