personally, i resign under the gothic butress, the heaven soaring bell towers full of quasimodos and grace.need.ful souls. . . .among stained glass wind[oh]s and steeples full of of prayers. .. i want to be a clerestory, a choir, a gothic chapel'd, an altar of words and faith and love and beauty. . .. and i can never be this: but devoutly and divinely and dreamily i descend back down to eARThen.ness after these words, so wrought out, so easily cast in bronzes and berninis. . ..
