The sly old fox he licked his lips
´Won´t you talk to me?´ He asked with a sigh
But the wary rabbit, he stayed his ground
Cause´ this fox, he´d suck his bones dry
So he darted off through a bramble bush
But next day at the watering hole
The sly old fox was waiting there
Catching rabbit was his only goal
Now the rabbit he was thirsty as could be
And he needed a drink real fast
´There´s an injured squirrel by the bridge,´ he lied
Now the dye it had been cast
So the fox he ran off toward the bridge
This would be an easy kill
While the rabbit gulped the water down
Taking much more than his fill
But the sly old fox had gone nowhere
Cause´ he knew how the rabbit would act
He had watched him drink to bursting point
Then he jumped on the rabbits neck
So too much of a good thing is bad for you
As the rabbit found to his cost
Don´t take too much on yourself in life
Just remember what that rabbit lost
