Out the Window

Out the window I sob,

The tears fall like rain

trickle down the glass,

reflected in the sorrow,

The tears pour in

The open window

in the clear air

Storm clouds hover

lightning flashes

thunder crashes

Out the window I shine,

The sun is upon my face

like a strobe light,

I flash on and off,

always neon

I stumble into the street,

The light in my eyes

rising over me,

like a halo around my head,

I spread my wings

I soar into the clouds,

it’s the mist of morning,

covered by the dew,

raising the fog

Out my window I flew,

water everywhere,

it ebbs and flows

A form stares back at me,

I slip into slumber,

trying hard to forget

Time moves this earth

Out the window I grew,

like greenery in blue

A sea of aqua,

waves wash over me,

I try to stay true

to my heart

My soul is filled with joy,

despite the pain I feel

I imagine love,

Out the window I fly
