I Wander in my Sleep
I wander, in my sleep,
fly as I weep
I stand, in front
of my grandmothers house,
watching it,
wondering who lives there now
I walk the streets,
like I did when I was a boy,
before I lost my youth,
old buildings, now abandoned,
lives of others, now gone,
haunt this place
I fly, one end to the other,
to those places that I knew
The people I meet,
are all dead and now gone,
Why are they there,
these ghosts in my dreams?
I wander, in my sleep,
stand silent and weep
I look into the dust,
it is still
I see through the windows,
at lost youths reflection
I see the ancient ones
That flew before,
in their visions they saw
their demise and ours
I fly ever forward in search,
of my destiny, I’m sad, I cry,
red the blue air
I dream of long ago,
no tears are there,
I have to go back
I wander, in my sleep,
fly as I weep

how we all feel when our memories force us to
look back and ahead. That's probably why the
saying " one day at a time";-)!
Some memories can be quite haunting my friend!!
Some good some bad...and then those you would rather try to forget!!
Excellent piece!!
Love Tinka
Memories can be so wonderful.
Lifes changes, time stands still
for no man. In time, others will
be reflecting the same sentiments.
