Radiant Eyes
She came out of the night
She had radiant blue eyes
She opened them to see
He had looked away
Out of the sky
The moon & stars hung
Midnight fell
She saw he was stunned
She held his fear
and held him near
He was still
The phantoms were quiet
They’d laughed at him
She locked eyes with his
She showed him the night
He fell into bliss
down to her knees
He wept tears of joy
She slowly led him
to her orgasmic liar
She wished his love
He watched her rise
into the sky
She opened her radiant eyes
He looked away
and watched the sun rise
in glorious hues
of orange & blue
He cried tears of joy
as she flew away
It was dew on the flowers
The beauty she showed to him
renewed his hope & passion
Her eyes opened with love
They were radiant blue
She wished to hold him near
He looked for midnight to fall

Peace, Carole
I love the ethereal feel to this poem. It's a warm kind of haunting that draws the reader in and then allows them to follow the flow so nicely.
It also makes me REALLY glad I have blue eyes - who knew the power they possessed? *grin*
Well written!
