Tumbling, Tumble Weeds
the sand dunes blow
and the weeds go tumbling
into the ravine deep and wide
a painted desert
could persuade you
to join me in my mirage
but if I go tumbling,
would you come along ?
we’ll see the sage brush
and colorful flowers that bloom
only watch out for the cactus
it will awake your soft creamy skin
to wrap around the midnight sky
I can see the tumble weeds
as they go tumbling by
I will take you to my oasis
for a cool, cool drink of water
which will turn to wine
after we embrace and kiss
our love is so very fine
and sand dunes make a bed
just watch out for the scorpions,
the painted desert will color us
in kisses of purple sage
our love will be ignited
by the heat of our passionate kisses
we shall inflate, blown by the wind
we are carried into slumber
after love has surrendered to our souls
we shall mate
and be like desert dunes !
