Wept a Dream

A poetess dreamer
wept a dream

She had skin like rose petals
She ran like the night
The stars falling all around her
falling, falling in moments
leaving a fiery tail

She wept a dream of love
It was a falling star
and a silvery moon

She wept a dream of storms
There were passionate lovers
Her love was dark
Her lover was a daydreamer
awaiting the sun

She penned a poetic nightmare
Her heart was broken
A dream broke it

Someday she'd sleep
A dream of life
She'd find her lover
running with the night
His heart full of dreams

She wept a dream
She penned happy verses
to rhyme poetically

She had skin like rose petals
falling at her feet
She ran like the sunrise
She saw a daydreamer
He was glorious

A poetess dreamer
wept a daydream

this is so well described. This isn't even sad -- it's a pretty painting of words and feelings.

I am awestruck. My first introduction to your poetry is a brilliant unfolding of illusion. What is real? We create our own universes...

Layer after layer of ephemeral visions, only to be gone in a flash until the next layer is dreamed. An almost surreal poem and one that is pleasing to read.

Each line of this poem flows straight through heart and prompts one to utter prayers and wishes for the poetess and dreamer of which you sing. Beautiful from the first syllable to the last.
