The Hole in the Center

the moon and sun
both set
one west, one east
and the story is ended
falling through
the hole in the center

swoosh begin again
and the days were long

the moon was luna
and she was falling
the sun was her father
his light shined on her
to find her way
across the great divide

swoosh begin again
and the nights were short

the moon and sun
were searching
one west, one east
and the days grew brisk
as fall came upon them
the stars fell

swoosh begin again
and the summers over

the sun was falling
into the horizon
of life and time
and the days were shorter
the nights were long

swoosh begin again
and winters come

luna came in spring
upon a breezy day
and the days were warmer
the flowers were blooming
and rain fell from the sky
to nourish them

swoosh begin again
the hole in the center

another story is begun

Welcome back Dale! Your poem is so akin to the quick pace that time seems to have taken on, more so than ever before. I can hardly keep up with it;-) Wonderful imagery!

Love,
Eileen
