Spirit Walkers

The spirit walkers
walked the desert
rising from the sand

The spirit riders
ride their ponies
broken in the Indian way
whispering

These desert souls
blown in by sand
across the horizon
into a barren land

There lies the broken line
which contains time

The spirit hunters
These hunters of time
These wandering nomads
whispering to the land

The wild ones walk
the forests, mountains
and rushing streams

These searchers for freedom
hunt the buffalo
grazing high grasses

The ponies in meadows
wild in their oasis
free in their element

The spirit walkers
arise from the sand

The stars, the moon
enlighten their minds
to see the broken lines

This floats, Dale.

Ethereal, esoteric, haunting... And completely captivating as is all your work.

You write with a nobility unparalleled, expressing the same quality in ancient peoples and the dichotomy between past and present. Transcendent write, Dale!

Light, ethereal and beautifully crafted with poise, grace and oozing spirituality. Oh, to see the things you see, but also to be blessed with the capacity to express with your lucid brevity that SHINES! the cleaness of your thought and lines always astounds me. Very muscular write, Dale. TY Kate xx

Through the Amazon by S. Oliver Eldridge

The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
